Unknown gunmen have reportedly attacked a market in Enugu State on Saturday morning in a bid to enforce a purported five-day sit-at-home order.
Reports obtained by claimed that the chaotic event led to the burning down of a police patrol vehicle in the area.
A source in the police confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters, noting, however, that no life was lost in the attack.
It was gathered that the hoodlums numbering over 10 stormed the New Market area as early as 6:00 am probably to shut down the market but met some policemen on guard, hence unleashing terror on them.
