Nigeria’s rail transportation system has, again, suffered a setback as scores of passengers waiting to board a train from Igueben in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State to Warri in Delta State came under heavy attack while some of them were also kidnapped.
The incident happened on Saturday January 7.
The exact number of those abducted is yet to be ascertained, an eyewitness said they are many.
Many of the travellers were also injured in the ensuing melee.
Edo Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Chidi Nwabuzor, a Superintendent of Police (SP) has confirmed the incident.
