The convoy of Babagana Zulum, Borno State governor today came under heavy attack by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members on his way from Baga in Kaka Local Government Area. According to the governor’s spokesman and sources in Maiduguri, the governor had earlier visited Monguno and Baga to distribute food items to the IDP camps.
Sources however said the governor’s security details successfully repelled the attack and the governor was unhurt.
